Journalist Andrea (Andy) Gross and photographer Irv Green have published hundreds of articles, individually and in tandem. The duo has had travel articles in most major U.S. newspapers — from The Washington Post to The Dallas Morning News and San Francisco Chronicle — as well for outlets in Canada, Australia, Europe and Asia. In addition, they were regular columnists for three publications including the American Automobile Association’s Home & Away and co-authored a book on North Carolina crafts.
During this time Andy spent ten years as contributing editor for Ladies’ Home Journal, covering a host of social issues ranging from health care to international adoption. Her book Shifting Gears, published by Crown/Random House, tackled the problem of career change for older adults.
She has also produced feature stories for numerous other major publications including USA Today and special editions of Time and Newsweek. Three of her stories were made into TV movies starring well-known actresses such as Pam Dawber and Jill Eikenberry.
Today Andy and Irv continue to write frequently for Home & Away, The Dallas Morning News and a variety of other publications, both print and online. They also devote a great amount of energy to Traveltizers, which is both a content provider for local lifestyle publications and a popular website.

“I love writing. I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions.”— James Michener
